Use of Information

Discuss Data does not share any personally identifiable information we gather or develop about our Users to any third parties for any purpose unless required by law. Any reports we may share externally would use unidentifiable, aggregated data.

Discuss Data aims to grant Data Depositors full control of their Data Collection(s) at all times. Therefore, restrictions might apply to the Download as specified by the Data Depositor. However, as part of the design of Discuss Data fostering transparency and discussion of academic research, Data Collections will be made publicly searchable on the Discuss Data Platform search engine and third-party search engines (e.g., Google Search or Bing Search). As a result, the Metadata and the Documentation of Data Collection for the specific Data Collection are always publicly available without restrictions. This applies also to the case that a Data Collection has to be taken offline or deleted due to (alleged) copyright violations.
