From "Maidan Camp" 2013 to "Maidan-Sich" 2014: what has changed since the beginning of the Maidan-protests?

On 3rd February 2014, the Ilko Kucheriv Democratic Initiatives Foundation and Kyiv International Institute of Sociology conducted the 3rd survey regarding the Maidan protests. 502 persons were interviewed in all fixed points of Maidan (tents, building of Trade Unions, building of Kiev State Administration, October Palace, Ukrainian House etc.) with a sample that ensures proportional coverage of Maidan.

Since the 2nd survey on Maidan camp in December, the protests radicalized and there were beatings, repressions, and disappearances. After the adoption of the infamous anti protest law of 16 January, the protest radicalized and led to heavy fights on Hrushevskoho Street and first casualties. On Maidan square, barricades were built (in constant expectation of attacks of the security forces) and became more closed. The peaceful "Maidan camp" turned into a "Maidan-Sich".

What changes have taken place with a population of Maidan? How has changed the social and demographic structure? Have the views and requirements changed of this much more militarized people? This we have tried to figure out in our survey.

This data collection contains the original raw data as SPSS file and a converted xlsx-File (description of variables in Ukrainian), a codebook (Ukrainian & English) as well as the original questionnaire (in Ukrainian).
