Description
The data set gives an overview of the content of knowledge transfer by four international organisations (IMF, UNDP, WHO, World Bank) by looking at the social policy concepts and advice these organisations give countries in the former Soviet Union. Utilising the example of healthcare reform in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Ukraine, the related article aimed to examine the general advice these organisations give for the re-organisation and management of the countries’ healthcare systems. It focuses especially on the introduction of a mandatory health insurance system, which is considered as a way to put healthcare finance on a solid footing while simultaneously improving the healthcare sector’s efficiency and quality of service.
